First Time Female Solo Traveler in Japan

Glico Man at Dotonbori

Shibuya Crossing

It has always been in my bucket list to travel solo to an international country. And I am pretty sure that i’m not the only one hahaha! In this blog post, I will be sharing my experiences, places/tourist spots I enjoyed the most, expenses, difficulties, transportation, and etc during my 8 days and 7 nights travel! This post will be divided into two parts: Part One: Before the Trip and Part Two: During the Trip. I hope this post can help you plan your own solo trip to Japan. This is a lengthy post as I tried to make this as detailed as I can. This is not my first time in Japan. But it's my first time to travel solo.

AirAsia Zest, The Right Way To Fly!

In my opinion, traveling is by far one of the most exciting, fun-filled, and awesome thing to do. There are always places to explore and to go to, people to meet with, delicacies to try, things to learn like culture and tradition… It is indeed amazing how much we can do and learn by traveling to different destinations.

With all that said traveling is now a lot easier, low-cost and more convenient brought to you by the partnership of AirAsia & Zest:
"AirAsia Zest may now take you to your destination at affordable prices. (AirAsia Zest dares you to compare prices!) AirAsia Zest offers Filipinos more choices, better value and enhanced services across a combined, larger network."

Trip to the Lion City

This post had been in my drafts folder for more than 5 weeks because I always feel lazy to finish it. But now I finally completed it! Yey me! Better late than never, right? Haha! It was a 4 days and 3 nights vacation which for me is… not enough. I think a vacation especially if it’s an overseas vacay, must at least be 6 or 7 days. There are just too many places to go to and it’s not possible within 4 days. In my case, I wasn’t even able to visit The Orchard and shop at H&M or F21 in Singapore. Anyway, here’s a glimpse of what I did, where I went and how I spent my very short vacation in The Lion City.

Weekend Getaway Up North!

As promised, here’s my entry about my Ilocos Trip after being absent in the blogosphere for 2 weeks. Did you miss me? Hehe just kidding! :*

I’ve wanted to go to Pagudpud for as long as I can remember. Whenever I mention “Pagudpud” to my parents, never once that they forgot to say, “Pagudpud? ‘Pag pumunta tayo dyan, pagod ka na, pudpud pa bulsa mo.” Then they’ll laugh. After years of waiting, finally, I went to Pagudpud! I believe it’s Divine Intervention. Maybe God heard my prayers…. Hehehe My dad told my mom that he’ll go to Ilocos Norte to attend a friend’s marriage ceremony. My mom relayed the news to me. The first thing that came to my is…. Pagudpud!!! I messaged my father a hundred “Pagudpud” words haha! He didn’t reply… my heart was broken. (drama queen) Then several minutes after, my mom and dad were talking over the phone. I’m not sure who called first though… but who cares lol! I asked my mom what dad said and my mom told me that they’ll decide over dinner. When my dad got home from work, we ate dinner and he said that………… we can come with him to Ilocos Norte and go to Pagudpud after!!!!! Wuhoo!! And so, I packed my things for our weekend getaway!

Splash Your Way Into Summer

Last Monday, my friends and I went to Splash Island. Thanks to the 250php promo!! hihihi We were complete. Would you believe that?!! What a great way to start summer, right? Super thanks to Vi's dad for giving her permission to come with us wuhoo! And yes, CG, i'm sorry for ruining the surprise. hahaha!

Joana and other CG arrived at Splash Island around 9am and Rigel, Vi and I arrived 20-30 minutes after. Splash island was.... empty lol. Just kidding. but seriously, the place was not jam-packed like always. Good thing we decided to go there early. Splash Island strictly prohibits their guests to bring food. Rigel wrapped her Kinder Bueno using her towel.... but as I've expected, the guy who inspects the bag saw it. hahahahahaha Anyway, we immediately changed into our swimsuits. Good thing I brought a rash guard. IT.WAS.FREAKING.HOT. I don't want to get any darker. haha Since the slides weren't open until 10:30am, tambay muna sa Wave pool... and picture time!!
